HydraFacial in Hurghada: the honest guide
A HydraFacial is a machine facial that cleans, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates in one pass, with no downtime and no redness by the time you leave. In Hurghada it is the single most useful treatment for skin that has spent a week in sun, salt water and air conditioning. At Wellness-Hurghada the HydraFacial Deluxe costs EUR 32 and includes hotel pickup.

What is a HydraFacial and how does it work?
A HydraFacial uses a handpiece with a spiral tip that does two things at once: it delivers a serum and it vacuums the loosened debris away. The Deluxe session at Wellness-Hurghada runs in six stages:
- Cleanse and peel: a gentle glycolic and salicylic solution softens dead skin.
- Extraction: painless suction lifts blackheads and sunscreen residue out of the pores.
- Hydration: hyaluronic acid, peptides and antioxidants are pushed into the skin.
- LED light: red light to calm redness and support collagen.
- Cooling mask: aloe and cucumber sheet mask while you rest.
- Finish: SPF 50 and a light moisturiser so you can go straight out.
You can see the extracted debris in the waste jar afterwards, which is either satisfying or alarming depending on your holiday sunscreen habits.
Who is a HydraFacial good for?
- Skin that feels tight, dull or rough after days of sun and sea
- Blocked pores and blackheads from sweat and sunscreen
- Dry skin from hotel air conditioning and desert wind
- Men who have never had a facial and want something quick and result-based
- Anyone wanting visibly fresher skin for a dinner, wedding or photos
- Ages 16 to 70; the serums are adjusted to skin type
Not suitable for: active cystic acne, open sunburn with blistering, rosacea flare-ups, or skin treated with isotretinoin in the last 6 months. In those cases book the deep cleansing facial (EUR 22) or ask us on WhatsApp first.
Why book a HydraFacial before dinner or before the flight home?
Because the effect peaks 2 to 24 hours after the treatment and lasts 5 to 7 days. Two timings work especially well in Hurghada:
- Before dinner or an evening out: choose a late afternoon start time. You leave with plump, even skin and no redness, and we can drop you at the Marina instead of the hotel.
- The day before your flight: aeroplane cabins pull moisture out of the skin. A HydraFacial 12 to 24 hours before departure means you land looking like you have been on holiday rather than on a plane.
The Beauty Day package (EUR 69, by appointment) puts the HydraFacial together with a manicure, pedicure and blow dry, which is the full pre-departure reset.
How much does a HydraFacial cost in Hurghada?
- Wellness-Hurghada HydraFacial Deluxe, by appointment: EUR 32, hotel pickup inside Hurghada included
- Hotel spas in Hurghada: typically EUR 90 to 150 for a comparable session
- Clinics in Europe: EUR 150 to 250
The price includes the LED stage and the cooling mask, which are often sold as add-ons elsewhere. Sahl Hasheesh, El Gouna and Makadi Bay guests add EUR 10 for transport. You pay when you arrive, in EUR, EGP or by card.
Does a HydraFacial hurt, and what about downtime?
It does not hurt. The suction feels like a small vacuum moving over the face and the peel solution tingles for about 30 seconds. Most guests describe it as cooling. There is no downtime: a faint pinkness fades within 20 to 30 minutes, usually before you reach the car. You can wear make-up the same evening, though most guests choose not to because the skin already looks even.
Avoid strong sun for 24 hours and use the SPF we apply. Skip retinol and exfoliating acids for 3 days after.
HydraFacial vs deep cleansing facial: which one?
- HydraFacial Deluxe (EUR 32, by appointment): machine-based, painless extraction, instant glow, best for holiday skin and before events.
- Deep cleansing facial (EUR 22, by appointment): manual extraction, steam and mask, better for congested or acne-prone skin that needs firmer work.
If you are unsure, tell us your skin concern on WhatsApp and we will suggest one. Both include pickup, both are available to men and women, and both can be added to a hammam or massage on the same visit.
